Sony Releases a $70,000 USD 98-Inch 8K TV
Sony has just revealed its newest top-of-the-line television measuring at 98 inches, but it comes with a price tag that matches its size: the TV will set you back $70,000 USD.
The new Master Series Z9G boasts 8K capabilities powered by Sonys very own X1 Ultimate processor. While it comes in an 85-inch model retailing at $13,000 USD, the coveted 98-inch model is another whole $57,000 on top of that already hefty price tag for the 13 of extra real estate, or over $5,300 USD per inch in total. Of course, with a cost like that, the TV does come equipped with anything you could ever ask for; aside from 8K HDR, the model is IMAX Enhanced and comes complete with both Dolby Vision and Atmos, ensuring the best visual and sound quality money can buy. In terms of audio, the Z9G uses the companys own Acoustic Multi-Audio system with front-facing speakers and is fully compatible with Sonys BRAVIA® line.
While 8K content is still in its rare days, worry not for your next Netflix and chill session as it comes with a Netflix Calibrated Mode specifically designed for extremely high fidelity viewing.
If youve got $70,000 USD to spare for a television set, youll be happy to know that the Sony Z9G will be available soon. Head over to Sonys site to learn more and get notified when it drops.
