The 2020 Acura NSX Now Comes in Heritage Indy Yellow Pearl
Acura has announced that it will offer the NSX supercar in Indy Yellow, a homage paint option inspired by the Rio and Spa yellow hues seen on the first-gen NSX.
An Indy Yellow NSX will be unveiled at the 2019 Monterey Car Week later this month. Acura and Honda consider the colorway a heritage color, as first-gen NSXs from the 90s were commonly ordered in either Spa or Rio yellow around 20% of the units built between 1997 and 2003 were ordered in the Spa Yellow, the fifth most popular color option for the car.
The 2020 NSX is equipped with a 573 BHP twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that gives its power-packed supercar rivals a run for their money just like the original NSX did back in the 90s.
Acura has already began offering Indy Yellow to customers in the U.S. alongside another heritage color, Berlina Black. The yellow hue is a $1,000 USD optional extra for the $157,500 USD NSX, while the black option is considered a standard choice.
